Tiangong University (TGU), founded in 1912, is one of the leading universities for the higher education of membrane science & technology in China. TJPU consists of 16 schools, offering bachelor, master and doctor degrees in undergraduate programs, 78 master degree programs and 16 doctoral degree programs. The campus has more than 28,000 full-time students.
The State Key Laboratory of Separation Membranes and Membrane Processes (SMMP) in TGU is the only one national level laboratory for the research and development of membrane separation technology in China. TGU has a great history of developing the first domestic hollow fiber membrane module as early as in 1974, and successfully commercialized hollow fiber membranes into products to found Tianjin MOTIMO Membrane Technology Co., Ltd in 2012. In 2016, “National Center for International Research on Separation Membranes” and “Demonstration Base of National Innovative Talent Training” were approved to be established by Ministry of Science and Technology, China. TGU and SMMP are leveling up to a new stage of extraordinary development and welcoming well-established scholars and talented young scientists to join us.

Students with master degree in the relevant fields (e.g., chemistry, material, polymer, chemical engineering, environmental science and engineering) are preferred to apply our Ph.D. program.
